Bluetooth Concepts, Verification and Measurements (AG237)

    Synopsis

Bluetooth is the wireless technology standard for connecting devices in the class of Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN). It uses radio frequencies in the 2.45 GHz ISM spectrum range to transmit information over short distances of generally 33 feet (10 meters) or less. By embedding a Bluetooth chip and receiver into products, cables that would normally carry the signal can be eliminated.

This course provides Bluetooth concepts with an emphasis on the testing and verification of the Bluetooth transceiver unit.

    What You Will Learn

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to
    • Understand Bluetooth technology
    • Understand the terminology used by Bluetooth vendors and IEEE standards
    • Perform RF testing and measurements of Bluetooth transceiver
    • Verify Bluetooth enabled products in accordance to IEEE specifications

Who Should AttendEngineers and Technical Managers who are involved in product marketing, production, test and development of Bluetooth enabled devices.

PrerequisiteTechnical background especially in electrical and electronics at Diploma or Degree levels. Related technical experience in wireless industry will be an added advantage.

Course MethodologyThis course is presented in a classroom style with lecture and open discussion, supplemented with instructor-led demo session on Bluetooth signal measurements.
